Ivezich, Nikola-
Passed away peacefully at Henderson Hospital, after a courageous battle with cancer, on Friday, April 16, 2010, in his 77th year. Beloved husband of Marija (nee Ostric). Loving father of Mark Ivezich (Candace), Anita Ivezich (Jeff McCrady), Adriane Vuk (Chris) and Val Horvat (Zvonko). Cherished Didi of Nickolas, Lucas, Andrew, Amanda, Kayla and Ryan. Son of the late Luka and Marija Ivezich. Dear brother of Marko Ivezich (Milka) and Ana Milosovic (Miroslav) and brother-in-law of Stefica Bielic and her children John Bielic and Joanne Hopkins. Cousin of Manda Miletic and her daughters Mary Grbavac (Ferdo) and Annie Miletic, Josip Anic and Luka Krpan (deceased)(Marica) and their sons, Frank (Sharon), John (Christina) and Tony (Cathy). He will be greatly missed by many friends and relatives throughout Canada, Germany and Croatia. Nick was retired from Dofasco after 30 years of service. The family wishes to express their gratitude to Doctors Goffin and Tsakiridis, the Oncology staff at Henderson Hospital and Nick's VON nurses, Velvet and Tamara. Visitation at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, 454 Highway #8 (east of Millen Road) STONEY CREEK (905-664-4222) on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-9 pm. with Prayer Vigil at 7:15 pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Cross Croatian Catholic Church, 1883 King Street East, Hamilton, on Wednesday, April 21, 2010, at 9:30 am. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. If desired, memorial contributions to Holy Cross Church or the Juravinski Cancer Centre, would be appreciated by the family.
