Peacefully passed away at Joseph Brant Memorial Hospital, Burlington on Wednesday, November 2, 2005 at the age of 81. Beloved husband of Teresa (nee Delange) for 53 years. Loving father of Anne Hobday (Terry) of Peterborough, Peter of Vancouver, B.C., Wayne (Laurie) of NewMarket, Audrey Porter of Burlington and Lynn Pitre (Denis) of Vancouver, B.C.
Cherished Papa of 8 grandchildren; Jamie, Karen, Michelle, Kristie, Nicole, Gregory, Brent, and Wyatt. Nick retired from Stelco after 35 years of service. He was a long standing member of the St. Vincent De Paul Society and he was a member of the Burlington YMCA for 31 years. Visitation at SMITH`S FUNERAL HOME, 485 Brant Street, (one block north of City Hall) BURLINGTON (905-632-3333) on Friday from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Patrick`s Roman Catholic Church, 196 Kenwood Avenue, Burlington on Saturday, November 5, 2005 at 9 a.m. Interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Burlington. If desired, in lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
