Passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 1, 2010 at Billings Court Manor, Burlington in her 98th year. Muriel Newkirk, beloved wife of the late Garnet Newkirk. Dear mother of Ross (Rosemary), Sylvia Marshall (Keith), Marianna, Jim (Coleen), John (Helena), Elizabeth Goor (George), Lilian Cook (Brian). Cherished grandmother of Chris, Lynda, Jeff, Garrett, Janice, Sean, James, Kati, Michael and Thomas, and her 6 great-grandchildren. Muriel will be dearly missed by her special friends Flora Cattoor and Fred Shepley. A Service of Remembrance will be celebrated at Billings Court Manor, 3700 Billings Court, Burlington, on Monday, December 6, 2010 at 2 pm, followed by a Service of Remembrance at St. Andrew's United Church, 85 William St. S., Chatham, on Tuesday, December 7, 2010 at 2 pm. Cremation has taken place. If desired, as an expression of sympathy, donations made to the Literary Angels Program (Chatham-Kent Public Library) or the charity of your choice, would be greatly appreciated by the family.
