Surrounded by his loving family on Friday, November 5, 2010 at Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital in his 72nd year, Mike passed peacefully into the waiting arms of our Lord. He was the beloved husband of Lorraine (nee Sambell) and dear father of Tricia Stenekes (Mark), Steven (Marina) and Tara Foye (Kevin). Cherished grandfather of Joey, Danny, Sydney, Brittany and baby Foye. Mike will be missed by his brothers, Jim Favalaro (Gayle) and Bill Favalaro (Tilly) as well as his uncle and aunt Tom and Irene Brownlie (London, ON) and aunt Betty Graham (Nova Scotia) and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Pre-deceased by his parents, Angelo and Helen Favalaro and his sister Elizabeth White. As a 20 year employee of Vac Aero International, he worked his way up to the position of VP of finance and eventually becoming a partner in the company. Upon retirement, he enjoyed travelling and supporting his grandchildren at their sporting events and functions. A special thanks to Dr. Sapir and Dr. Sidhu for the care and compassion that they provided to Mike. Visitation at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, 1167 Guelph Line (1 stop light North of the QEW) BURLINGTON, (905-632-3333) on Tuesday from 3-5 and 7-9 pm. Vigil Prayers Tuesday evening. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at St. Raphael's Roman Catholic Church, 4072 New Street, Burlington, on Wednesday November 10, 2010 at 11:00 am. Cremation has taken place. If desired, as an expression of sympathy, donations made to the Nephrology unit of the Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital, would be greatly appreciated by the family.
