After a tragic accident, Meredith succumbed to her injuries, at Hamilton General Hospital on Friday, April 30th, 2010 with her loving family by her side at the age of 36. Beloved wife and best friend of Darcy. Amazing mom of Brooke and Paige. Adored daughter of Bruce and Lynn Staz, and cherished sister of Jennifer Staz-Hood and brother-in-law Dwayne Hood. Special Aunt of Baylee, Cooper and Faith. Meredith is survived by her two grandmothers Margaret Staz and Joan Pallett. Dear daughter-in-law of Judy Hagan, sister-in-law of Tara Edmonds as well as their extended families. Loving niece of Barry and Georgie Staz, Rick and Ardeth Staz, Sharon and Michael Costescu, Marty and Linda Staz, Wendy and Glyn Stevenson, Bruce and Luisa Pallett and all of their families. Meredith will be lovingly remembered by many family and friends as she touched a lot of hearts. Visitation at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, 1167 Guelph Line (one stoplight north of QEW), BURLINGTON (905-632-3333), on Monday 7-9 p.m. and Tuesday 3-5 and 7- 9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Paul the Apostle Roman Catholic Church, 2265 Headon Rd., Burlington on Wednesday, May 5th, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. Interment at Burlington Memorial Gardens to follow.
