Obituary for Melva Margaret Atto (Koehler)
ATTO, Melva Margaret (nee Koehler) -
Passed away peacefully with family by her side at Creek Way Village Nursing Home in Burlington on Saturday, July 29, 2017 at the age of 92. Predeceased by loving husband, John “Jack” Claude Atto (2002). Cherished mother of the late John Atto, Nancy Leathong (Tom), Brenda Vrba (Peter), Jill Deakin (Mark), and Randy Atto (Carolyn). Proud grandmother of Rob, Jaime, Sean, Melanie, Bryan, Adam, Nicholas and Carolyn and great-grandmother of Brody, Victoria, Adryanna, Jadyn, Cameron, Zoe, Mila, Keele, Jack, Ben, Grace, and Jameson. Melva will also be missed by extended family and friends. Special thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff at Creek Way Village for the excellent care provided over the past 6 years. Private cremation has taken place. A Service of Remembrance will be held at SMITH’S FUNERAL HOME, 1167 Guelph Line (one stoplight north of QEW), BURLINGTON, 905-632-3333, on Friday, August 4, 2017 at 1:00pm. A Reception will follow at the funeral home. As an expression of sympathy, donations in Melva’s memory to the Alzheimer Society would be sincerely appreciated.
