Corkery, Maurice Francis Joseph-

Peacefully passed away at Joseph Brant Memorial Hospital, Burlington, on Sunday, March 27, 2011 at the age of 92. Beloved husband of Fern for 72 years. Loving father of Maurice Timothy and wife Lizbeth, Brian Joseph and wife Kim and predeceased by Patricia Ann Smith (survived by Peter Smith). Cherished grandpa of Chris, Randy, Sandy and Kevin Glachan, Chris, Jenn (Sean Meleschuk), Meg (Mike Forrester), Tara, Mike and Tim Corkery. Adored great-grandpa of Troy Bishop, Shannon, Casey, Tara, Mackenzie, Madison, Connor Glachan, Nora, Lucy and Max Meleschuk. Dear brother of Ted and his wife Betty. Predeceased by his siblings Evelyn, George and Mary. Maurice was a respected & resourceful entrepreneur, owner/operator of M.F Corkery Trucking and will be deeply missed by family and friends, especially life long friend Jim Shanahan. A private family service will be held. Our lessons were learned in the way Dad lived his life. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Hamilton/Burlington S.P.C.A would be appreciated.
