Passed away peacefully at Burloak Long Term Care, Burlington, on Tuesday, March 8, 2016, in her 91st year. Beloved wife of the late Robert "Bob" (1994). Loving mother of Diana Harrington (Philip), Bill (Sheila), and Bob (Joan). Proud grandmother of Joshua (Natalie), Katie (Sean), Adam, Shawn (Sarah), step-grandchildren Tim and Kip, and great-grandmother of Halle, Callum, Chloe and Braden. Shirley will be missed by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by sisters Bessie Arscott (late Howard), Ruth Waldick (late Gilbert) and Brother Herbert Tunstead (late Audrey). Shirley was instrumental in the founding of the Small Fry Skating Club. She had a passion for skiing, square dancing, clogging and much more. She was also a member of the Burlington Naval Association Women’s Auxiliary. Visitation at ST. CHRISTOPHER'S ANGLICAN CHURCH, 662 Guelph Line, BURLINGTON (905-632-3333), on Friday, March 11, 2016 from 12 noon until time of Service of Remembrance at 1 PM. For those who wish, donations in memory of Shirley to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Burloak Residence Council Fund would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
