Obituary for Mary Edith Fairborn


FAIRBORN, Edith Mary (nee Brown)
Peacefully passed away at the Brant Centre, Burlington on Sunday March 27, 2005 at the age of 84. Beloved wife of the late William G. Fairborn and much loved companion of Roger Charlibois. Mother of Paulette Tripp (Kirk) of Gilmour, Laurette Burshaw (Doug Carter) of Hamilton and Carolyn Vannuis (Steve Macklin) of Campbellford. Survived by her youngest brother Ambrose Brown of Ancaster. Predeceased by her dear twin brother William Spence Brown and brothers Allen Brown and Langford Brown. Mary will be remembered by 7 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Mary Fairborn was born in Hamilton in 1921. After marrying she moved to Belleville in 1947 with husband Bill who worked for CNR. Mary was a Belleville General Hospital employee for 16 years and many people will remember her for her talent as a seamstress. After retirement Mary and Bill returned to Hamilton, Bill passed away shortly after. Mary moved to Burlington and spent her remaining years with Roger Charlibois. The family would like to thank Roger for his love and caring of our mother for the past 3 years. Also many thanks to the staff at the Brant Centre. Visitation at SMITH`S FUNERAL HOME, 485 Brant Street, (one block north of City Hall) BURLINGTON (905-632-3333) on Wednesday from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. where a Funeral Service will be held on Thursday March 31, 2005 at 1 p.m. Interment Hamilton Cemetery, Hamilton.
