Obituary for Mary Francesca DiCecca (Albanese)

Mary Francesca DiCecca (Albanese)
Reunited with her beloved Paula, Mary passed away peacefully with her children by her side on Monday, July 10, 2017 in her 72nd year. Loving wife of the late Angelo DiCecca for 50 years. Mary was a loving and devoted mother to her four children; Rocco DiCecca, Paula DiCecca (1995), Melanie Mason (Ken) and Christina Chorpitta (Greg). There are no words to describe how deeply missed Mary will be by her grandchildren; Tina, Brennan, Christopher, Jeffrey, Natalie, Catherine, Daniel and Lucas. Daughter of the late Guiseppe and Maria Albanese. Mary was one of nine children from a beautiful and loving family; the late Ross Albanese (Maria), Antoinette Aquino (Tony), Lou Albanese (Linda), Nancy LeDonne (Sam), the late Rosemary DeLima, Dominic Albanese (Debbie), Jim Albanese (Kathryn), and the late Johnny Albanese. Mary also leaves behind her in-laws Tony and Marge DiCecca, Severin DiCecca and Filomena Muraca, and the late John DiCecca and his wife Angela. Mary was adored and respected by many nieces and nephews who were very special to her. Mary will also be missed by many friends, especially her beloved Cosmo Albano and his family who brought so much love and happiness into her life this past year. Mary spent her life taking care of everyone, always there to support, encourage and listen. Family was the most important thing to her and she engrained in her children that family always comes first. She had time for everyone in her life and made everyone feel loved in her presence. The family would like to express their gratitude toward the doctors and nurses at the Hamilton General ICU East, for their excellent care and compassion. A special thank you to Laura and Pastor Bill Thornton for their loving support at the end of mom’s time with us. Visitation at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, 1167 Guelph Line (one stop light north of QEW), BURLINGTON (905-632-3333), on Thursday, July 13, 2017 from 6-9pm. A Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Friday, July 14, 2017 at 10:30am. Private Interment at a later date. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Mary are asked to please consider a charity of their choice. Mom, you will always be our rock. You were the greatest source of strength for everyone who was fortunate enough to be a part of your very special life. We love you.
