Marilyn Deanne Fletcher
FLETCHER Marilyn Deanne (nee Shields)- At Billings Court Manor on Saturday, October 22, 2005 at the age of 60. Beloved wife of Paul R. Fletcher. Loving mother of Michelle Fletcher and Mark Fletcher and his fiancee Tara Johnson of Burlington. Dear sister of Kathryn Volf of Sudbury and Bryan Shields and his wife Margaret of Hagersville. Marilyn will also be sadly missed by her brother-in-law Donald Fletcher and his wife Marianne of Burlington, nieces and nephews Andrew Shields (Sherie) of Georgetown, Matthew Shields of Aurora, Kirsten Fletcher of Burlington, Geoffrey Fletcher of Whistler, B.C., Daniel Fletcher of Singapore, Jordan Fletcher of Burlington, great nephew Cameron Shields of Georgetown. Predeceased by her parents Violet Irene Shields and Frederick Warren Shields and brother in law Nick Volf. Marilyn graduated with MusBac(UWO) and ARAD(Associate of the Academy of Dancing),Covent Garden England. Marilyn choreographed and danced in many musicals/ballets and readily gave of her musical talents as a pianist/organist and choir member throughout her life, until the onset of a rather rare neurological disorder. She was an enthusiastic member of the Burlington Curling Club. A Service of Remembrance will be held at SMITHS FUNERAL HOME, 1167 Guelph Line, (one stoplight north of QEW), BURLINGTON (905-632-3333) on Thursday, October 27, 2005 at 1 p.m. If desired, expressions of sympathy to the charity of your choice would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
