Cop, Marija
Marija (Maria) Cop (née Pestotnik), born in Ljubljana, Slovenia on September 27, 1928, passed away peacefully and in her sleep at her home in Burlington on Sunday, December 12, 2010, in her 83rd year, suddenly and unexpectedly of natural causes. Beloved wife of Leo Cop for 58 years.

Marija was the loving mother of Nicholas Cop of Gainesville, Florida, Margaret Tsiris of Stuttgart, Germany, and Peter Cop of Toronto, and sister of Darinka Pestotnik of Toronto. She is predeceased by her sister Bozena Opara and Bogdan Pestotnik.

Marija will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered by her grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and extended family. She was a true friend and neighbour to many in the community.
Visitation at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, 485 Brant Street (one block north of City Hall) BURLINGTON (905-632-3333) on Friday December 17, 2010 from 3-5 & 7-9 p.m Funeral Mass will be Celebrated at Our Lady of Miraculous Medal Slovenian Roman Catholic Church, 739 Browns Line, Toronto on Monday December 20, 2010 at 11 a.m. Cremation to follow.
