Almonte, Maria Assunta (nee De Panfilis)
Peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on Wednesday, June 9, 2010, at Henderson Hospital, Hamilton, in her 95th year. Beloved wife for 59 years of the late Antonio Carlo Almonte (1996). Dear mother of Osvaldo and his wife Elisa of Stoney Creek, Pasquale and his wife Maria of Hamilton, and Elio and his partner Elvira Dumadag-Martinez of Burlington. Cherished nonna of Maria (Velissarios), Antonio, Rosella (Antonio), Stefania (Giovanni), Anna-Maria, Christina, Giuseppe, Melissa and bis-nonna of Adrian, Korina, Vanessa and Nicholas. Also missed by sister Elisa Monaco, sister-in-law Anna Almonte, and many cousins, nieces, nephews, family and friends in Canada, U.S.A., Italy and Venezuela. Predeceased by four sisters and two brothers. Special thanks to the Doctors, nurses and staff at the Henderson Hospital Orthopedic Ward E4 and Stoney Creek Life Care Nursing Home for their special care and support. Visitation at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, 454 Highway #8 (east of Millen Road) STONEY CREEK, 905-664-4222 on Saturday from 5-9 p.m. and Sunday from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. with vigil prayers at 6 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Anthony's Parish, 165 Prospect Street North, Hamilton on Monday, June 14, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. Entombment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Burlington.
