Margaret Marie Shepherd (Gies)
Passed away peacefully at Burlington Gardens on Friday, March 11, 2016 at the age of 92. Loving wife of the late Alan Shepherd (1984). Cherished mother of Peter Alan Shepherd (Darlene) and of Peggi Shepherd DeGroote (Michael Wagner). Loving Nanny of Paul (Nicole), Brian,Victoria and Nana to Katharine Ribbins Bonfiglio . Sister of the late Patricia Gies and of the late Ronald Gies (late Marie). Visitation at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, 485 Brant Street, (one block north of City Hall), BURLINGTON (905-632-3333), on Monday, March 14, 2016 from 3-5 PM and 7-9 PM with a Prayer Vigil beginning at 7 PM. A Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Tuesday, March 15, 2016 at 10:30 AM followed by a reception. Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery after reception. In lieu of flowers, donations in Margaret’s name may be made to Canadian Red Cross, Joseph Brant Hospital Foundation, The Carpenter Hospice or to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
