Obituary for Margaret Elder

ELDER, Margaret (nee Chattoe) B.Sc. (Nursing) - Passed away June 3, 2005 in her 81st year. She is predeceased by her husband Harry (Red) Elder, M.D. Margaret was born in Birkenhead, England and emigrated to London, Ontario with her family at the age of 5. She attained a nursing degree from the University of Western Ontario and the Royal Victoria Hospital in Montreal. She acted as nurse and business manager for her husband`s medical practice, first in Hamilton, then St. Catharines, and finally Burlington. Left missing her are sons Greg and Rob, daughters-in-law Wynn and Kathee, grandson Shaun, sister Grace Brockett of Clawson, MI, sister-in-law Phyllis Elder and dear friend and aide Margaret Russell. There will be no funeral service. Instead, a memory sharing get together will take place on Monday, June 20, 2005 from 7-9 p.m. at SMITH`S FUNERAL HOME 1167 Guelph Line, (one stoplight north of QEW) BURLINGTON (905-632-3333). All friends and family are invited to share in this celebration of Marg`s life. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer Society or the Arthritis Society would be appreciated by the family.
