Obituary for Malcolm Arthur Macaulay

MACAULAY, Malcolm A. C.P.O., M.M.M.,C.D., Ret`d. - Peacefully after a brief illness at the Village of Tansley Woods, Burlington on Saturday, February 12, 2005 in his 82nd year. Malcolm, beloved husband of Marion. Loving father of Mary Sue Rycroft (Paul) of Whitby, Austin, Nancy Bliss (Brian), Malcolm (Debora), David (Leslie) of Calgary and Ian. Dear grandfather of 11 grandchildren. Predeceased by his granddaughter, Kaitlin and brothers, Austin, Colin and Bill. Malcolm was a Naval Veteran in WWII, and in the Royal Canadian Naval Reserve for 42 years. He was a Life Member of International Chief Petty Officer`s Association and Rochester C.P.O. Club. He was also a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 60 and the Burlington Naval Veterans Club (Brant St.). In 1974, Malcolm received the M.M.M. Medal. He was a 39 year employee at Proctor & Gamble. Visitation at SMITH`S FUNERAL HOME 1167 Guelph Line, (one stoplight north of QEW) BURLINGTON (905-632-3333) on Tuesday from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Wednesday, February 16, 2005 at 1 p.m. Cremation to follow. The family would like to extend their thanks to the staff at the Village of Tansley Woods (Nelson) for all their care and support. If desired, expressions of sympathy to the Naval Ships Memorial, or to the Alzheimer Foundation would be greatly appreciated by the family.
