McAlley, Lynda Jean (nee McCurrach) -
Passed away peacefully with family by her side, at Joseph Brant Hospital in Burlington, on Sunday, November 27, 2016 at the age of 68. Survived by loving husband John of 50 years. Cherished mother of Catherine McAlley (Graeme) and Tamara Szenasi (Laszlo). Proud grandmother of Kristen McAlley (Cody), Brittany Stewart (David), Michael Stewart, Johnny Stewart, Amanda Stewart (Joey), Sabrina Szenasi, and her first great-grandchild on the way. Dear sister of late Anne Hickling, late Bryan Carroll, late Joanne Mongraw (Paul), and Kay Snape. Predeceased by father George McCurrach, step father James Carroll and mother Margaret Fallis Carroll. Lynda will also be missed by many cousins, nieces, nephews, and precious friends. Visitation will be held at SMITH’S FUNERAL HOME, 1167 Guelph Line (one stoplight north of QEW), BURLINGTON, 905-632-3333, on Friday, December 2, 2016 from 3-5pm and 7-9pm. A Funeral Service will be held in the chapel on Saturday December 3, 2016 at 1:00pm with reception to follow at the funeral home. Private cremation and interment to take place at a later date. As an expression of sympathy, donations in Lynda’s memory to the Canadian Cancer Society would be sincerely appreciated.
