It is with great sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Lydia in her 93rd year, surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, October 1, 2015 at The Carpenter Hospice in Burlington. Beloved wife of John “Richard” for 68 years. Loving mother of Donna (Doug), Theresa (Mark) and Rene (Mike). Cherished Babcia of Tamara (Angelo), Kimberly (David), Zachary, Christopher and Gregory, and great-grandmother of Jessica, Alyssa, Brianna and Logan. Lydia spent the last 3 ½ years at Burlington Gardens where she made many friends and enjoyed life to the fullest. We would like to extend a special thank-you to Heather, Manuela and Frances along with the wonderful staff and volunteers at The Carpenter Hospice. To honour Lydia's wishes, a private family service has taken place. For those who wish, donations in memory of Lydia to The Carpenter Hospice would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
