Luisa will also be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews in Canada and Italy. We want everyone to know that no matter how deep our sorrow, that we are glad her suffering is now over and she is reunited with her beloved husband. We will remember her warmth, her love of her family and grandchildren, her gentle strength and her strong gentleness. She has always been the epitome of a real lady and that is how she will be remembered. Luisa was a kind, generous and compassionate woman. She took pleasure in cooking for family and friends and traveling to Italy. Her greatest joy was spending time with family, friends and especially her grandchildren. A very heartfelt thanks to the staff, nurses and caregivers at the Brant Centre for the love, care and support that has been given to Luisa and her family in the last two years. Visitation at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, 454 Highway #8 (east of Millen Road) STONEY CREEK (905-664-4222) on Monday from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Vigil prayers 7p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church (Barton Street East and Gage Avenue North, Hamilton) on Tuesday, February 23, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. Entombment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer Society of Hamilton and Halton would be greatly appreciated by the family.
