Obituary for Lois Marie Louth (Acheson)

A very special lady passed away on Thursday, August 6, 2015 in her 84th year. Lois was an active volunteer for many years with the West Lincoln Memorial Hospital Auxiliary and Trinity United Church. She enjoyed curling, golf and playing bridge, but above all was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother. When her children were older, Lois accepted a job with Andres Wines and worked there until her retirement. Friendships were important to Lois. She will be missed by all who knew her, most especially by Rex, her beloved husband of 57 years. She was a devoted mother to her four children Brian (Janet), Stuart, Michael and Susan (Mark) and cherished Nana of Deanna, Lindsay, Jennifer, Karen, Michael, Geoffrey, Alex, Emma and Sam. Lois was born in Elmsville, New Brunswick to Harry Hazen Acheson and Dorothy Lucy Smith on September 16 1931. Survived by brother Webber of Bancroft. Predeceased by brother Harry and sister Clara. Visitation at STONEHOUSE-WHITCOMB FUNERAL HOME, 11 Mountain Street, GRIMSBY (905-945-2755) on Sunday from 3-6 p.m. and Monday from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Service will take place at Trinity United Church, 100 Main Street West, Grimsby on Tuesday, August, 11 2015 at 10:30 a.m. Interment Vineland Cemetery. Memorial contributions to the West Lincoln Memorial Hospital would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
