Obituary for Lois Jean Furlong (Smith)

Furlong, Lois (nee Smith)
Passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, March 22, 2018 with her family by her side. Lois was born July 7, 1928, in Hamilton, to William Thomas Smith and Ruth Adele (nee Burnside). She is predeceased by her husband Albert (2000), and by her siblings, Shirley, Norma, and Art. Loving mother of Terri (Rick) of Woodstock, Cathy (Dave) of Burlington, and Michael (Dianne) of Richmond, B.C. Cherished grandma to Sarah, Robert (Deanna), Lindsay (Jen) and Steve. Adored (and known as Grandma-saurus or Granny P) by her 5 great-grandchildren; Emily, Matthew, Meredith, Dane, and Nolan. Lois loved to travel, golf, and was the life of the party at a costumed event. She had an affinity to water whether it was an aquafit class, bobbing in a pool, or fishing on the Tiddler.
“Rigga-Jig-Jig and away we go”, with a booster shot and a beer.
A celebration of a life well lived, will take place at a later date. Memorial donation to the CNIB or Dying with Dignity would be appreciated.
