HOCKIN, Lillian (formerly Vegh) -
Peacefully with the love of her family at her side, at The Carpenter Hospice, Burlington, on Tuesday, April 26, 2011, Lillian passed away in her 71st year. She was born in Tecumseh on March 25, 1941. Loving and devoted wife of Robert "Bob" Hockin. Loving mother of Sharon Vegh and her husband Don Thornton of Thamesford, Barbara Vegh and her husband Peter Stathakos of Burlington, Elias Vegh and his fiancée Meredith Stewart of Venice Beach, CA, Matthew Vegh and his wife Rachel of China, also step-mother to Randy Hockin and his wife Barbara of Unionville and Michael Hockin and his wife Debby Ingersoll. She will be sadly missed by her grandchildren: Lindsay and Tyler Thornton, Brendan, Meagan and Austin Holden, Nathaniel and Michael Vegh, Brittany and Spencer Hockin, Michael Hockin, Jessica (Hockin) Young and husband Adam, Dusty McMullen and great-grandchildren Michaela and Kendall Young. Survived by brother Charles Fitzgerald. Predeceased by her first husband Elias Vegh, granddaughter Alyssa Thornton and sisters Virginia and Alice. Visitation at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, 1167 Guelph Line (one stoplight north of QEW) BURLINGTON, 905-632-3333 on Saturday April 30, 2011 from 3-5 p.m. Cremation has taken place.
