Obituary for Leonard McNamara

McNamara, Leonard Patrick â€" Peacefully, surrounded by his family at the Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital, Oakville, on Sunday, July 11, 2010, Leonard McNamara formerly of Hamilton in his 91st year. Leonard was born in West Luther Township, Ontario, a veteran of WWII, and a founding member of Blessed Sacrament Parish, Hamilton. Beloved husband of the late Sarah McNamara R.N.(nee Scullion). Lovingly remembered by his children; Stephen and Wendy, Anne and Doug Kinley, John and Rosalind, Mary and Rocky Mancini, Kathy and Cameron Riley, his grandchildren; Daniel and Tara, Kelly, and Joseph McNamara, Matthew Kinley, Marc Mancini, Karina and Graham Riley, his great grandson Avery McNamara, his brothers Father Victor McNamara, Neil and Bernadette McNamara, and his sister-in-law Lillian Scullion. He is predeceased by his brothers Thomas, Frank, Michael, Dennis, Gerald and sister Aileen. He will also be fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews and friends. The family would like to thank Dr. Peter Kujtan and the medical staff at Oakville Trafalgar for all their care. Visitation at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, 1167 Guelph Line (one stoplight north of QEW) BURLINGTON, (905-632-3333) on Wednesday from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Prayers for Leonard, Wednesday 8 p.m. at the Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will be Celebrated at St. Dominic Parish, 2415 Rebecca Street, Oakville on Thursday, July 15, 2010 at 11 a.m. Interment Resurrection Cemetery, Ancaster. For those who wish, donations to the charity of your choice would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
