Peacefully passed away at his residence in Burlington, on Sunday, March 20, 2011 at the age of 92. Beloved husband of Jean for over 68 years. Laurie graduated from Concordia University (St. George Williams University) in Montreal with a Bachelors Degree in Science and Commerce. He worked for many years at Marconi followed by International Systcoms. He was also a member of the Lions Club in Montreal and surrounding areas. Laurie will be fondly remembered by all his family and friends. Visitation at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, 485 Brant Street, (one block north of City Hall) BURLINGTON, (905-632-3333) on Saturday, April 2, 2011 from 12 noon until a Service of Remembrance in the Chapel at 1:00 p.m. followed by a reception at the Pig and Whistle (Hearthstone) Burlington.
