MacDONALD, Kevin Emanuel In his 65th year on January 14, 2011 at Joseph Brant Memorial Hospital we lost a wonderful man to a courageous battle with cancer. Son of the late John R. MacDonald and Margaret Thomas. Predeceased by his two brothers John Vincent and Ian, also a baby sister Mary. Kevin resided in Burlington for the last 44 years but a piece of his heart will always belong to his birth place Glace Bay, NS. Kevin was employed with Hercules Canada for 22 years as a chemical operator. Left behind to feel his loss are his wife of 43 years Edna (MacNeil), his two daughters Lisa (Pat) and Wendy, and his two granddaughters Ashley and Brianna. Kevin also leaves behind many brothers and sisters to feel his loss: Evangeline (George) Jovita, Margaret Rose (Chuck), Corine, (Ken), Jimmy (Marg), Floyd (Thora), Vernon, Georgie, Michael (Sheila), Eric (Kim), and Fabian (Sandy). Also many nieces and nephews will miss their uncle Kevin. Kevin was known as a generous, kind and witty man. He enjoyed entertaining, cooking and challenging himself with new recipes in the kitchen. Kevin always put his family first, his girls meant the world to him, when they were happy - he was happy. Visitation will be held at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, 1167 Guelph Line (one block north of the Q.E.W.), Burlington (905-632-3333) on Monday from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. with Vigil Prayers at 8:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, January 18, 2011 at St. Gabriel's Roman Catholic Church, 2261 Parkway Drive at 11 a.m. Private cremation to follow. If desired, donations to the Juravinski Cancer Centre would be appreciated by the family. Dad, you were greatly loved, you will be greatly missed, but never forgotten
