Peacefully at Billings Court Manor, Burlington on Tuesday, August 2, 2016 at the age of 92. Beloved wife of late Paul Prokopowicz (February 2016) for 65 years. Loving mother of Stanley Prokopowicz (Katryn) and Irene Pratt (Gary). Cherished grandmother of Laurie (John), Holley, Alanna and Robyn. Adored great grandmother of Kyrstin, Evan and Avery. Predeceased by dear brother John Murzlowska. Katherine was a long-time member of St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church in Burlington and was very involved in the Catholic Women’s League. Visitation at SMITH’S FUNERAL HOME, 485 Brant Street (one block North of City Hall), BURLINGTON (905-632-3333), on Monday, August 8, 2016 from 3-5 and 7-9p.m. Vigil prayers at 7pm. Funeral Mass will be Celebrated at St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, (Brant Street at Blairholm), Burlington on Tuesday, August 9, 2016 at 10:30am. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Burlington. Reception to follow at Paradiso Restaurant (2041 Pine Street, Burlington).
