Obituary for John Richard Moszczynski

John Richard Moszczynski
MOSZCZYNSKI, John Richard (WWII Veteran)
(February 5, 1921 - February 2, 2017)
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our father and dziadziu John Richard on Thursday, February 2, 2017 in his 96th year. Predeceased by his beloved wife Lydia (2015). Loving father of Donna (Doug), Theresa (Mark) and Rene (Mike). Cherished dziadziu of Tamara (Angelo), Kimberly (David), Zachary, Christopher and Gregory, and great-grandfather of Jessica, Alyssa, Brianna and Logan. Dziadziu was a proud veteran serving in World War II. He retired from Ford Motor Company in 1980 and spent many of his retirement hours traveling, lovingly tending to his vegetable garden, at the cottage or at the Polish Hall where he maintained the library. His last years were spent at Alexander Place. The family would like to express our deepest gratitude to his dedicated caregivers, especially Muriel and Shirley. Visitation at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, 1167 Guelph Line (one stoplight north of QEW), BURLINGTON, 905-632-3333 on Sunday, February 5, 2017 from 1-3 p.m. A private family service to be held at a later date. If desired, donations made in memory of John to the Alzheimer Society of Canada would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
