Obituary for John Charles Lane

Peacefully, on Tuesday October 12, 2010, John Charles Lane of Burlington (formerly of London, Ontario) passed away suddenly at his home. Prior to Semi-Retirement in 92 John worked for the Region of Hamilton Wentworth, and then became Road Superintendant for the Town of Flamborough. Active in the Optimist Club, former Good Roads Association President, he loved sports, people, and sharing a cup of coffee at Tim's on Monday's and Fridays with his friends. He is survived by his loving wife Anne (nee Huska), whom on October 22'nd would have celebrated 50 years of marriage. Also daughters Kimberly (William) Bent, grandchildren Ashley and Kyle, along with Cindy (Len) Tarasow and grandchildren, Adam, Luke and Victoria will miss him terribly. Predeceased by parents John and Marguerite Lane, sister Irene(O'Neil) and survived by Joyce (Jack) Gorringe and Nancy (Norm) Grigg and numerous nieces and nephews. Interment Dorchester Union Cemetery, Dorchester following the service. In lieu of floral condolences, John would have wanted donations made to the Canadian Diabetes Association, and would be appreciated by the family. Your love and Commitment to Mom, your joy of laughter, and love of sports, will live on in your family.
