With his loving family by his side, at the West Parry Sound Health Centre, on Sunday, April 10, 2016, at the age of 70. Beloved husband of Sandra for 48.5 years. Loving father of Warren (Angela) and Natalie (Simon). Dear brother of the late David (Anna) and Arthur (Carol) Chester. Cherished brother-in-law of Julie Davey (John), Lisa Hobbs (Kevin) and Ray Payne. John will be missed by many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews. Pre-deceased by his parents John Alfred and Margaret (nee McMillan) Chester. John was passionate about music, and loved to play his guitar. He also loved boating, and spent many hours on the water. We wish to thank the caring nursing staff and doctors at the West Parry Sound Health Centre for their compassion and support for both John and our family. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, 1167 Guelph Line (one stop light north of QEW), BURLINGTON (905-632-3333), on Saturday, April 23, 2016, at 4 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of John to the West Parry Sound Health Centre Foundation would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
