Obituary for Joanne Hendrika Koornneef

Went home to be with her heavenly Father, on Wednesday, August 24, 2016, in her 84th year. Beloved wife of John for 61 years. Loved mother of Paul and Jean, Ralph and Diane, Beverly and Al Voorberg, Rick and Frances and Wendy and Kevin Hagen. Cherished Oma of seventeen grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Dear sister of Leni and Henny Haveman and sister-in-law of Alice Vis and Hilda Vis. Predeceased by her brothers Leo and Henk Vis and brother-in-law Henry Janssens. Joanne will also be missed by many sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews. Visitation at Fruitland Christian Reformed Church, 805 Highway #8, Stoney Creek, on Friday, August 26, 2016 from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m., where the Service of Remembrance will take place on Saturday, August 27, 2016, at 11 a.m. Private interment at Grimsby Mountain Cemetery prior to the Service. If desired, memorial contributions to Shalom Manor and Gardens or McNally House Hospice would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
