LAING, Jean Lindsay: Called home to be with the Lord on Friday, April 23, 2010, at Joseph Brant Memorial Hospital. Jean Laing (nee Moffat), in her 94th year. Beloved wife of the late John Laing. Loved mother of Chris Bell of Keswick, Ontario, and the late Brian and Alan Laing. Dear grandmother of John, Nancy, Jason and Cameron Maxwell and great-grandmother of Alexandra. Jean was a former member of Aldershot Presbyterian Church, lifelong member of the Women's Missionary Society and volunteered extensively at Joseph Brant Memorial Hospital. Jean was retired from an accounting position at Westinghouse and had enjoyed teaching Sunday school, playing piano for the Junior Choir and acting as President of the Young People's Society. Friends may call at the SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, 485 Brant Street (one block north of City Hall), BURLINGTON, (905-632-3333) on Wednesday, May 12, 2010 from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at Knox Presbyterian Church, 80 Mill St. N., Waterdown, on Thursday, May 13, 2010 at 11 a.m. Private Cremation to follow.
