Obituary for Janet Ann Sisson


Passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, on Saturday, March 12, 2016, in her 90th year. Beloved wife of the late Russell (1973). Loved mother of Michael Sisson, Ron Sisson (Renee), Brenda Bax (Pete), the late Carrie Sisson (2014) and the late James Sisson (1989). Cherished Nana of Tammy (Ken), Darryl (April), Jim (Paige), Jacob (Lindy), Katie, Haylie (Rich), Ronnie, Tyler and the late Shelby (1999) and great-nana of Tori, A.J. and Destiny. Dear sister of Lorraine Fraser. Auntie to many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by thirteen brothers and sisters. You will be greatly missed for your smile, strength, courage, advice and most of all, your unconditional love and laughter. Although we mourn your loss, we will celebrate your life and find comfort in knowing you are watching over us all. Visitation at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, 485 Brant Street (one block north of City Hall) BURLINGTON (905-632-3333) on Tuesday from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. where the Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, March 16, 2016, at 10:30 a.m. Reception to follow at the Funeral Home. Private family interment Greenwood Cemetery. If desired, memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
