WATSON, James Russell "Rusty" â€"
At the Joseph Brant Memorial Hospital, Burlington on Saturday, December 31, 2011 Rusty Watson of Burlington in his 93rd year. Beloved husband of the late Norma (nee L'Esperance) Watson. Loved father of Tim of Windsor and Jeff and his wife Patrecia of Gravenhurst. Cherished grandfather of Stephen, Ashley (Brian) and Courtney. Dear brother of David (Flossie) of Chicago and brother in law of Joy Watson of Burlington. Predeceased by his sisters, Verna Jarvis (Jim), Doreen Hume (Gordon), and brothers Dort and Milford (Alice). Rusty was a veteran of WW II serving with the Provost Corps, a member of the Wardrope Lodge #555, A.F. & A. M. and Rose Croix 32 degree Scottish Rite. He served with the O.P.P. from 1946-1953 then went on to be the owner/operator of the Texaco Gas Station at the corner of Main and Queen in Hamilton. During this period he was a Past President of the Retail Gasoline Association and a Past President of the Waterdown Rotary Club from 1990-1991. Visitation at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, 1167 Guelph Line, (one stoplight north of QEW) BURLINGTON (905 632 -3333) on Wednesday 3-5 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service to be held at St. Luke's Anglican Church, 1371 Elgin Street, Burlington on Thursday January 5, 2012 at 11 a.m. Reception at the Parish Hall with interment to follow at Burlington Memorial Gardens. If desired, expressions of sympathy to the St. Luke's Anglican Church or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
