Obituary for
James William Alexander Mackie
MACKIE, James William Alexander Slipped into the arms of his Lord on December 23, 2010. Jim was the most loving and dedicated husband of Doris (predeceased) for 60 years. Jim was an amazing father and excellent role model for his children Marilyn, Glenn (Linda), Cheryl (Rick) and John. He will be sadly missed by his grandchildren that adore him, Laura (Matthew), James, Jeffrey, Scott and Blaine, and great-granddaughter Reagan. Surrounded with love by his family, Jim moved on in his next great journey with the same characteristics that defined him in life - faith, courage, acceptance and humour. Born into humble beginnings in Shaunavon, Saskatchewan, Jim touched everyone who knew him. He lived a full life, recipient of military medal in WW II, followed by a long career at Ford. Jim was very active with his church as well as a proud member of the Knights of Columbus, 4th Degree. His passing comes with great sadness and his spirit and commitment to family and friends will live on forever.
