We are sad to announce the passing of Jim at the Welland County General Hospital, on Sunday, September 27, 2015 at the age of 87. Beloved husband and best friend of the late Diane (2012). Loved father of Debbie Myers (Robert Klyne) and James (Charlene). Proud grandfather of Jack (Brenda), Jay (Hong), Cale (Sandy), Hollie, Brandon, Jayden and Steffany (Joel), and great-grandfather of Makenzie, Evelyn, Charles, Ugene and Isaiah. Jim will be dearly missed by extended family and friends. Visitation at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, 1167 Guelph Line (one stop light north of QEW), BURLINGTON (905-632-3333), is on Friday, October 2, 2015 from 5-8 PM and a Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Saturday, October 3, 2015 at 1 PM. Private interment will take place at a later date. For those who wish, donations in memory of Jim to the Canadian Cancer Society would be sincerely appreciated by the family. Special thanks to the nurses on the sixth floor that took such good care of Jim.
