Gardner, James Douglas (Doug) September 6, 1932 - May 5, 2011
At Joseph Brant Memorial Hospital in Burlington after being diagnosed with cancer just a month before. He leaves his loving wife Margaret after 57 wonderful years of marriage. Brother of Currie and Donna, father of Katherine and Doug, father-in-law to Neil and Jennifer, grandfather to Nicholas, Madeline, Ariel, and Esmé. With love, devotion and gentleness he profoundly affected us all. Most of his career was spent at the CIBC followed by 12 years in employment development at the Canadian Mental Health Association. He had been an active member of Grace Presbyterian Church in Etobicoke and volunteered for a number of years at Distress Line Peel. A Memorial service will be held at Knox Presbyterian Church, 461 Elizabeth Street, Burlington, ON, on Wednesday May 11, 2011 at 2:30.In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated
