Jacqueline Schneider
Schneider â€" Jacqueline Josephine Mary Quinn (nee Hancox) welcomed home to God's Loving Embrace while surrounded by her family, Jacqueline Schneider, devoted spouse for 52 years of the late George Louis, passed away peacefully at Joseph Brant Memorial Hospital on Sunday December 5th . The only child of the late John Thomas and Lillian May, she is survived by her children Jacqueline Mary-Jo , Gregory (Carol), Michael (Joyce), her grandchildren Jennifer, Christopher (Christine), Laura (Russ), Daniel (Melanie), Jeffrey, Mary, Patricia, Andrew, Mark as well as her great grandchildren Jacqueline and Joshua. Pre-deceased by her grandson David. She will also be remembered by the families of her close friends the Nolans, Whytes and MacLeans as well as her dear friends Vera Birett, Stan and Joy Orr and Eileen Craig. The family appreciates the special care and compassion given to our mother over the last six months by her home care giver Rita Pandey, as well as to the doctors and nurses at the I.C.U. of Joseph Brant over the past week. A woman of profound and deep faith she actively demonstrated it through her involvement with many charitable organizations; most important to her was her 70 year association as a Life Member of the Catholic Women's League serving as both the Diocesan and Provincial Presidents. She and her husband George lived a full life enjoying travel, bridge and dancing. Visitation will be held at the SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, 1167 Guelph Line, (one stop light north of QEW) BURLINGTON (905-632-3333) on Wednesday, December 8th from 3-5 and 7-9pm with prayers at 3:30pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. John the Baptist Church (Brant and Blairholm) on Thursday, December 9th at 10:30am with interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Joseph Brant Memorial Hospital Foundation or the Good Shepherd Centres (Hamilton).
