Obituary for Iris Stevenson (Powell)
STEVENSON, Iris (nee Powell) -
Passed away peacefully and surrounded by family at The Carpenter Hospice, Burlington, on Sunday, April 17, 2016, at the age of 79. Loving wife of the late John “Jack” Stevenson (2000). Dear mother of Laura Stevenson and Mark Stevenson. Proud grandmother of Shannon Coulson (Tom Bundy), Matthew Stevenson, Alayna Stevenson, and Michael Stevenson, and great-grandmother of Ryleigh Bundy. Iris will also be missed by her sister Mavis (Terence) of England, daughter-in-law Kelly Stevenson, and her many friends and neighbours. Private cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at SMITH’S FUNERAL HOME, 1167 Guelph Line (one stoplight north of QEW), BURLINGTON, on Thursday, April 21, 2016 from 3-5pm and 7-9pm, where a Service of Remembrance will be held in the Chapel on Friday, April 22, 2016 at 10:30am. If desired, donations in memory of Iris to The Carpenter Hospice or the Heart & Stoke Foundation would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
