Passed away peacefully at Joseph Brant Hospital, Burlington, on May 17, 2016, at the age of 72. Beloved wife of the late Jim (2015). Loving mother of Donna Sierke (Dave), Debbie Chedore (Mike) and Denise Burke (Jim). Proud grandmother of Josh, James, Liam and Mason. Dear sister of Lillian Bednarz (Leonard) and Alice Nicholls (John), and sister-in-law of Pando Dimitroff (Trudy). Predeceased by her parents Stanley and Lillian Manel. Visitation at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, 1167 Guelph Line (one stop light north of QEW), BURLINGTON (905-632-3333), on Friday, May 20, 2016 from 7-9 pm, and on Saturday, May 21, 2016 from 12 Noon until time of Funeral Service at 1 pm. Reception to follow at the funeral home. Cremation will take place at a later date. For those who wish, donations in memory of Irene to The Canadian Diabetes Association or The Cancer Assist Program would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
