BLAKE, Irene Dorothy (nee Brown) 1926-2016
We announce the passing of Irene at the age of 89 on Tuesday, March 8, 2016 at the Joseph Brant Hospital. Loving wife of the late Ronald Blake (1989). Born in Walsall, Staffordshire England, Irene immigrated to Canada and established roots in the province of Ontario. She was a long-time member of St. Luke's Anglican Church, Burlington, a member of Bokhara Court #22 L.O.S.N. A., member of the Sesemar Ladies Shrine Club of Hamilton, and Oronto Temple #69 member of Daughters of the Nile, White Oaks Nile Club in Oakville. A Service in Remembrance will be held at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, 485 Brant Street, (one block north of City Hall), BURLINGTON (905-632-3333) on Monday, April 11, 2016 at 10:30 AM with a reception to follow. Cremation has taken place. For those who wish, donations in memory of Irene may be made to the Shriners' Hospital for Crippled Children, Montreal Unit or to the Canadian Cancer Society.
