At Wentworth Lodge, Dundas on Saturday, April 23, 2011, Dr. Ian Shepherd, formerly of Burlington in his 89th year. Beloved husband of the late Doreen Shepherd. Loving and much loved father of Margaret Corbett (Bob), Angela Meyer (Ric), Alan Shepherd, and Valerie Shepherd (Paul). Cherished grandad of Ian and Sara. Dear "big" brother of Frank Shepherd (Helen). Loving brother-in-law of Margaret. Predeceased by brothers, Marshall and Norman and sisters, Edith, Olive, Mary and Ella. Ian is lovingly remembered by his many nieces and nephews. Much gratitude to the staff on Beech Avenue, Wentworth Lodge for their care and compassion, especially in his final days. Many thanks to the staff of Lakeshore Place, Burlington for all of their support and care over the past 10 years. Visitation at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, 1167 Guelph Line, (one stoplight north of QEW), BURLINGTON (905-632-3333) on Wednesday April 27, 3-5 & 7-9 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday April 28, at 1 pm at the funeral home followed by a reception. Cremation with Private Urn Interment at a later date. If desired, memorial donations to the JBMH Foundation or the MS Society would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
