CAPPELLI, Helen Joyce - It is with great sadness, the family announces the sudden but peaceful passing of Helen Joyce Cappelli, in her 85th year, on November 22, 2005 at Martha`s Landing Retirement Home. Helen was the beloved wife of the late James Cappelli (1989), loving mother of Clayton McKay, daughter-in-law Marilyn. Cherished grandmother of Jimmy, Christie, Lauren and great-grandmother of Alicia and Jessie. She was the dear lifelong friend of Vivian Arrowsmith. Helen was well known for her caring nature and support of numerous charitable organizations. Still sharp as a tack in her senior years, all who knew her appreciated her candor, openness, objectivity and wonderful sense of humour. Always active, Helen was a member of the Burlington Lawn Bowling Club, Probus Club, among a number of other organizations, and an avid bowler at Roseland Bowl. Helen will be deeply missed and always remembered as a loving, down to earth supportive and strong-willed mother, mother-in-law, grandmother and friend. Visitation at SMITH`S FUNERAL HOME, 485 Brant Street (one block north of City Hall), BURLINGTON (905-632-3333) on Sunday from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. where Funeral Service will be held on Monday, November 28, 2005 at 11 a.m. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
