Gilmore, Gordon

Passed away peacefully at Joseph Brant Hospital, Burlington, on Tuesday, February 23, 2016, at the age of 77. Beloved husband and best friend of Pat for 51 years. Loving father of Stephanie Robinson (David), Valerie Jameson (George). Proud grandfather of Julia, Ryan, Luke and Eric. Gord will be dearly missed by nieces Jocelyn Clarke (Doug), Carol Nolet (Noel) and nephew Don Gilmore (Silva). Predeceased by sister Ruby Gilmore and brothers Frank (Rena) and Lyle (late Anna). Gord was a long-time member of Port Nelson United Church, Burlington Curling Club, and the Silver Sliders Golf Group. One of his passions was helping those less fortunate through the Wesley Urban Ministries. Visitation at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, 1167 Guelph Line (one stop light north of QEW), BURLINGTON (905-632-3333), on Friday, February 26, 2016 from 3-5 and 7-9 pm. A Funeral Service will be held Port Nelson United Church, 3132 South Drive, Burlington on Saturday, February 27, 2016 at 11am. Interment at Burlington Memorial Gardens. For those who wish, donations in memory of Gord to Wesley Urban Ministries, Port Nelson United Church, or the Russelltown Flats Church and Cemetery Fund would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
