Born in New Glasgow, Nova Scotia, passed away peacefully at his home in Burlington, surrounded by his family on Friday, February 4, 2005 at the age of 66. Beloved husband of 45 years to Bernadette (nee Kirwan). Loving father of Susan (Mark Jackson) of England, Shawn (Tina), Sally (Luc Payette), Sharon (Chris Craft) and Stephen (Jennifer) all of Burlington. Cherished Papa of ten grandchildren. Dear brother of Barry (Annette) of Australia; and uncle to their three children. Predeceased by his parents John Dan and Kathleen MacLean (Fleming) and his brother Allan. Special thanks to Jayne and her colleagues at Saint Elizabeth Health Care and also Colleen, O.T. of Care Plus. Visitation at SMITH`S FUNERAL HOME, 485 Brant Street, (one block north of City Hall) BURLINGTON (905-632-3333) on Monday from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Patrick`s Roman Catholic Church, 196 Kenwood Avenue, Burlington. For date and time of Mass please contact the funeral home. Private family interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Burlington at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
