Obituary for Gerald Donald "Gerry" MacBain

MacBain, Gerald Donald
1936– 2016.
It is with sadness and relief that we announce the very peaceful passing of Gerry MacBain. He left this world on Saturday, August13th to be reunited with the love of his life, Marnie. He was very recently admitted to Hamilton General Hospital where the staff told us he was the happiest patient they had ever experienced and never complained about his pain at all. Anyone who knew Gerry could understand that’s the way he lead his life. He leaves behind his loving and grateful family, John and Gail Fennell, Kelly and Paul Greve. He will be sorely missed by his grandchildren Krista Fennell (Eric), Kelsey Roy (Adam), Jay Greve (Megan), Josh Fennell (Nicole) and Chelsea Fennell. He has two great-grandchildren that he adored, Shelby O’ Toole and Colby Roy. Gerry had many friends gained through his employment as a tour bus driver for C.H. Norton Bus Lines, a Transit Supervisor for Burlington Transit and a Building Superintendent at Pinedale Estates. Those that remain will no doubt remember Gerry the same way that Marnie did “Nice Always Matters”. Cremation has taken place and our family will host a Visitation at Smith Funeral Home, 1167 Guelph Line, (one stoplight north of QEW) Burlington, on Thursday, August 18, 2016 from 6 - 9p.m. Donations in Gerry’s honor may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society.
