It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of George, peacefully with his family at his side at the Joseph Brant Memorial Hospital on Saturday, May 29, 2010 at the age of 73. Beloved husband of Aglaia (nee Wainas). Loving father of Jim Staios (Sharon), Anne Staios and John Staios (Margarida). Cherished grandfather of Daniella and Michael. Dear brother of Christina Terzis (the late George), Anna Gioskos (the late George), Paul Staios (Mary). Dear brother-in-law of Evangelos Wainas (Antigoni). Predeceased by his parents Mite and Lena and his brother Zisis Staios. George will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Visitation at SMITH’S FUNERAL HOME, 1167 Guelph Line (one stoplight north of QEW) BURLINGTON, 905-632-3333 on Monday from 6-9 pm and Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-9 pm with Prayers at 8 pm on Tuesday. Funeral Service at St. Naum Macedonian Orthodox Church, 1150 Stone Church Road East, Hamilton on Wednesday, June 2, 2010 at 11 am. Interment Woodland Cemetery.
