Obituary for George Ernest Cushnie
CUSHNIE, George Ernest –
George Cushnie passed away peacefully on Monday, November 7, 2016 at the age of 89. Beloved and cherished husband of the late Elmarie Cushnie (nee Somerville) for 63 years. Loving father of Lindaree and her husband Ted, George Jr. and his wife Norma, June and her husband Dean. Happy Grandpa of Leigh, Caralyn, Lindsay, Ree-Anne, Jennie, Erica, Nicholas, Emily, Nathaniel, Gabriel, Glendon, Ellianna, and Ellyssa. George will be sadly missed by extended family and friends. Visitation at SMITH’S FUNERAL HOME, 485 Brant Street (one block north of City Hall) BURLINGTON, 905-632-3333 on Tuesday, November 8, 2016 from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at Compass Point Bible Church, 1500 Kerns Road, Burlington, on Wednesday, November 9, 2016 at 11 a.m. Interment at Trafalgar Lawn Cemetery, Oakville. If desired, donations to The Gideon’s International would be greatly appreciated.
