Ventricini, Francesco "Frank" Suddenly on Thursday, April 21, 2011, Francesco was called to rest in his 83rd year. Loving son of the late Adolfo and Laura Ventricini. He is survived by his beloved wife of 57 years Maria (nee Diadamo) and loving daughters Penny (Doug) Saunders and Laura (Tim) LaCombe. Much loved grandfather of Tanja, Kimberley(Joshua), Matthew and Daniel (Kim) and great-grandchildren Victoria, Jasmine and Malakai. Dearly missed by brothers Ottorino (Domenica), Donato (Valentina) and his sister Alide (late Carmine) Cichetti all of Italy. Also sadly missed by sister-in-law Silvana (late Marino) Di Diodato, Anna (Late Elio) Rapiti, Alberto (Dina) Diadamo and Rosella (Alberto) Rossini. Beloved son-in-law of the late Gaspero and Gina Diadamo. Fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, family and friends. Born in Menzano, Aquila, Francesco immigrated to Canada with his family in 1955. He leaves a legacy of hard work. Francesco started in the coal mines of Minto, New Brunswick, and moved to Hamilton where he labored in construction and spent 25 years at Stelco. He was an avid gardener, the envy of the neighbourhood, and was meticulous in all aspects of his life. He will be dearly missed by his entire family. Visitation at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, 454 Highway #8 (east of Millen Road), STONEY CREEK (905-664-4222) on Tuesday from 3-5 and 7-9 pm, with Funeral Prayers at 8 pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Francis Xavier Roman Catholic Church, 304 Highway #8, Stoney Creek on Wednesday, April 27, 2011 at 9:30 am.
