October 1932 â€" February 2010 Resident of Stoney Creek, ON. After a courageous battle with Multiple Myeloma, Francesco passed away peacefully with his family by his side at Henderson Hospital in Hamilton, on Tuesday, February 23, 2010. He was the beloved husband of Luigia (nee Stramenga) for over 46 years. Francesco will forever be remembered by his adoring daughters Rosella and Simonetta and sons-in-law John Garaffa and Sean Patrick. Nonno will be sadly missed by his grandchildren Alyssa, Mikaila, Vanessa, Luca, Serena and Ava whose love he treasured deeply. Waiting to greet him in Heaven are parents Rosa and Giacomo Paradisi, son Maurizio, brother Vincenzo, mother-in-law Francesca Stramenga and brother-in-law Mario Andonini. Francesco is survived by sister Vera and brother-in-law Florindo Balloni, sister Palmira Paradisi, father-in-law Sebastiano Stramenga, sister-in-law Irma Paradisi, many nieces and nephews in Italy and cousins in Guelph. Dear brother-in-law to Michele & Rachelina Stramenga, Piero & Evelyn Stramenga and Lidia & Nandino DiBrandimarte. Dear uncle to Sandro & Joanne Stramenga, Franca & Carmen Pietroniro and Andrea & Ernie Kerst. Francesco worked as a skilled and hardworking Bricklayer in the greater Hamilton area. He was passionate about the things that made his life full: his family, his home, his garden and fruit trees, and of course â€" his vino. Ti amo per sempre Nonno. Many thanks to the medical staff at Henderson Hospital. Friends and family are invited to attend visitation at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME , 454 Highway #8 (east of Millen Road), STONEY CREEK (905-664-4222) on Thursday from 2-4 pm and 6-9 pm. Prayer Vigil Thursday at 8 pm at the Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church, Barton Street East and Gage Avenue North, Hamilton, on Friday, February 26, 2010, at 10 am. Entombment at Marymount Cemetery in Guelph. The family requests that donations be made to Myeloma Canada (www.myelomacanada.ca).
