It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Francesco Di Trapani on Thursday, June 24, 2010, at the age of 69. Beloved husband of Rosa (nee Panarisi) for 43 years. Cherished father and father-in-law of Josie, Joseph and Anna, Lilly and Renato, Elizabeth and Rocco and Tizianna and Alex. Adored nonno of Victoria, Cecilia, Joseph and Alessia. Beloved son and son-in-law of the late Giuseppe and Giuseppina and Gerlando and Alfonsa. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Vince and Francesca, Carmelo and Maria Giovanna, Josie and Bill, Joanne and Antonio, Stefano (deceased) and Domenica, Carmela and Pietro, Marianna (deceased) and Carmelo, Vittoria and Calogero and Raimondo and Maria. Dear cousin of Vincenzo and Maria, Giuseppe and Santina, Gaetano and Rosa and Angelina. Remembered with love by many of his nieces and nephews and cousins in Canada, Italy, Belgium and Argentina. Following his retirement from Dofasco, Frank loved spending time with family and friends. He could be found nurturing his garden, sharing a good story or joke with his friends and family. He had a special gift connecting with people and he touched the lives of many. Frank's greatest joy in his life was his family. He will live on forever in our hearts and our smiles. A special thank-you to family and friends for their support during this difficult time. The family gratefully acknowledges the excellent and compassionate care of the staff on the Transplant Unit at St. Joseph's Hospital and the professional and personal care of Dr. Darin Treleaven, Dr. Azim Gangji and their team. Funeral Service will take place at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 217 Glover Road at Highway #8, Stoney Creek, on Saturday, June 26, 2010 at 10 am. Entombment Bayview Mausoleum.
